Prioritize and re-prioritize kitchen tasks based on fluctuating demands.
Manage opening and closing shift kitchen tasks.
Instruct new staff in proper food preparation, storage, use of kitchen equipment, and sanitation.
Maintain clean and organized work areas to ensure safety and quality in the food preparation process.
Contribute to positive guest experiences by accommodating special dietary needs and requests.
Taste, smell, and pierce food to verify sufficient cooking.
Reduce food waste by implementing proper portion control and storage techniques.
Qualifications: Diploma of Hospitality Management.
Ability to follow recipes and maintain portion control.
Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
Team leadership and staff training capabilities.
Customer-focused approach to accommodate dietary needs.
