As part of Civica’s Global Operations team, the Employee Relations and Operations Manager will collaborate with colleagues around the world to design, innovate, and deliver ER and HR policies that align with our people strategy and support broader business priorities.This role leads the APAC HR operations team, ensuring high-quality, compliant support to managers and employees across the region. You'll act in a leadership role, overseeing a team of direct reports.
As Employee Relations & Operations Manager you'll oversee the following
Employee Relations Policies & Frameworks: develop Global policies, processes and frameworks which align and enable the people plan; empower and support managers, and meet local legal requirements. Conduct horizon scanning on a regular basis to ensure policies remain compliant with changing legislation.
Continuous Improvement: review and improve policies and processes, to drive global standardisation, increased automation and improved user experience. Utilising new technologies to support the change, and reduce manual work and interventions.
Communications & Stakeholder management: develop and drive effective communications and training with key stakeholders across the business to proactively support their needs, and further drive value for the organisation.
Case Management: ensure the delivery of a high quality service to the business. Providing coaching and support to line managers through the process, and ensuring adherence to processes to mitigate risks.
Change Management: support the Business in delivering effective and compliant change management approaches to support business restructuring activities. Act as the subject matter expert on other projects such as M&A or wider people initiatives.
Operations Management: oversee the delivery of core HR services to employees and managers in line with agreed SLAs.
People Management: develop a high performing team through effective coaching, feedback and performance management. Provide technical oversight and feedback in relations to ER case support.
Requirements
What you will need to be successful in this role- Strong knowledge of employment law across APAC countries, particularly Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore
- Experience working in a global HR or Employee Relations team
- Demonstrated success in leading the transformation of ER/HR processes, systems, or policies on a global scale
- Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams
- Experience working through transformation and an ability to successfully execute change
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion
- Self-motivated and able to work independently at pace, and with a proactive mindset
- Previous experience working in a SaaS based or Tech environment will be highly advantageous
- Working in a global environment, flexibility is key, with some work outside of standard hours required
