Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ) is a branch of the Department of Transport and Main Roads within the Customer Services, Safety and Regulation Division. Our role is to protect Queensland's waterways and the people who use them, providing safer, cleaner seas.

Maritime Safety Queensland is responsible for: - improving maritime safety for shipping and recreational craft through regulation and education.- minimising vessel-sourced waste and responding to marine pollution.- providing essential maritime services such as aids to navigation and vessel traffic services.- encouraging and supporting innovation in the maritime industry.

The Human Resources Team is a part of the Maritime Operational Support Section, a crew of diverse individuals, working as a united team, in collaboration with our business partners to deliver quality customer service, advice and business support for Maritime Safety Queensland and communities across Queensland.

The Senior Human Resource Advisor will work as a collaborative team member (one of a team of five), partnering and working in consultation with local and regional management to develop and drive people and culture initiatives to enhance businessobjectives and outcomes.

It is a generalist HR role that will be responsible for providing contemporary HR and industrially sound advice, guidance, and support to stakeholders on a broad variety of complex human resources matters.
Our MSQ employees are employed under the MSQ Maritime Operations Certified Agreement 2022 and the Transport and Main Roads Certified Agreement 2022.
