At Prego Restaurant, we are looking for a skilled Chef & Cook to work on a full-time basis (38-40 hours per week).
ChefDuties and Responsibilities:
- Create seasonal menu and other special menus;
- Inventorying food, ingredient, and supply stock to prepare and plan vendor orders; manage the budget;
- Ensure food standards, preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques meet our high standards;
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment;
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation and ensure appealing plate presentation;
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures; - Preparing and cooking food in a timely manner;
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
- Hire, train and manage kitchen staff;
- Verify compliance in preparation of menu items and customer special requests.
- Relevant qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification
- at least 1 year of experience in the relevant role
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills, including the ability to supervise kitchen staff, manage workflow, and maintain high operational standards.
- Ability to maintain food safety standards, stock control, and quality assurance in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000Location: 440 Cambridge St, Floreat WA 6014
CookDuties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare meals in line with the restaurant standards
- Support the ordering of food and supplies
- Care for food supplies and leftovers appropriately
- Infusing flavours by adding seasonings
- Maintain and operate the kitchen in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner the cooking process
- Prepare meals for special events and additions functions, adjusting the dishes accordingly with the dietary needs of the customers
- Relevant qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification
- At least 1 year of experience
- Good time management skills and able to work under pressure.
