An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Front Desk Administrator in a centrally located office in Perth. This role offers the chance to be part of an innovative, employee-owned consulting engineering business that designs and delivers engineering solutions across various sectors.

The successful candidate will enjoy a varied working day, balancing front desk duties with general office administration support in a vibrant central CBD location.

What you'll do:

As a Front Desk Administrator, your role will be integral to the smooth running of the office. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing incoming calls, greeting clients, overseeing meeting room diaries, arranging access cards for new employees, making travel arrangements, managing company car bookings, coordinating staff anniversary gifts and events, booking training courses and updating training records.

You will also assist with expenses submissions and reconciliation for petty cash & corporate credit card. Your excellent organisational skills will ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

  • Ensure calls are answered and managed appropriately.
  • Greet clients, offer refreshments, ensure meeting rooms are well presented.
  • Manage couriers both incoming and ordering and oversee other consumable orders.
  • Oversee and coordinate meeting room diaries.
  • Arrange access cards for new employees.
  • Make travel arrangements and set up business Uber accounts when required.
  • Manage company car bookings and coordinate maintenance of the vehicle.
  • Manage relevant company mailboxes (e.g., info, employment etc.)
  • Work with the People and Culture team to coordinate staff anniversary gifts and events including morning teas and lunches.
  • Book training courses and update training records in the company HR platform.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Front Desk Administrator position will bring at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role. Your excellent organisational skills will be matched by your superb interpersonal abilities. You'll have proven time management skills with the ability to set and follow priorities.

A high level of attention to detail is essential for this role, as is proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite. As a self-starter, you'll be comfortable working autonomously as well as part of a team. Previous experience in the construction, engineering or consulting industries would be advantageous.

  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to set and follow priorities.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • A self-starter with a willingness to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in the construction, engineering and/or consulting industries advantageous.
