Requirements

The Role:

The Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing you’ll actively contribute to our goal of providing more efficient and agile payments benefiting all Australians. You’ll manage strategic sourcing initiatives across the AP+ enterprise portfolio developing category plans, leading negotiations and forging strategic partnerships.

Your expertise will drive cost savings, align procurement with business goals and unlock value for our stakeholders.

Primary Accountabilities, Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Technology Vendor Management the Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing will have responsibility for:

  • Lead and co-ordinate the Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quotations (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Tender (RFT).
  • Develop and maintain category management plans for Technology, Professional Services and others.
  • Support the Third-Party Vendor Management to achieve better commercial outcomes from strategic vendors.
  • Identify and manage Third Party risk including operational risk and compliance management.
  • Maintain and enhance the Procurement Policy for AP+.
  • Establish metrics and measures to demonstrate the value of strategic sourcing.
  • Lead RFI, RFQ, RFP and RFT sourcing initiatives for all AP+ Business lines and categories.
  • Identify key stakeholders and ensure that Business Leaders and Cost Centre Managers understand the Procurement Policy and process.
  • Follow the Third Party Plus (Vendor) Framework to ensure effective supplier management across technology services.

We'd love to hear from you if have:

  • 7+ years of strategic sourcing experience.
  • Experience in sourcing, negotiating and delivery of complex contracts, with an emphasis on technology related services.
  • Vendor relationship management.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills in both financial and business matters, including commercial terms for strategic contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence IT and Business leaders as well as supplier executives.
  • Implementation of continuous improvement and change initiatives.
  • Strong analytic skills and commercial acumen.
