Summary
Our client, Arvensys Technologies Pty Ltd, is seeking to add an Engineering Technologist to their dynamic team in Wetherill Park, NSW. With over a decade of experience in delivering innovative and technology-driven solutions, Arvensys has assisted both start-ups and large corporations in realising their strategic goals.This role blends civil engineering expertise with IT capabilities, focusing on 3D design software development to enhance project execution and management within the construction and engineering industries.
The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and implement 3D design software for civil engineering applications.
- Utilise SketchUp, AutoCAD, and other design tools for modelling and visualisation.
- Integrate IT solutions with civil engineering processes to enhance project efficiency.
- Oversee the design, development, and optimisation of engineering systems and software.
- Collaborate with engineers to refine software for structural and infrastructure projects.
- Manage the implementation of 3D visualisation tools for project planning and execution.
- Analyse and modify existing engineering technologies to improve performance and usability.
- Ensure software solutions comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct research and development to improve engineering technology applications.
- Provide technical support for software-related issues in engineering projects.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams in civil engineering and IT projects.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to tailor software solutions to project needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies in civil engineering and IT.
- Train and support staff in the adoption and use of 3D design and engineering software.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with regulations.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a strong IT and software development background.
- Minimum 5 years experience in civil engineering with exposure to software design and development.
- Proficiency in 3D modelling tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar software.
- Experience integrating IT solutions into civil engineering and construction projects.
- Ability to develop and refine 3D design software for structural applications.
- Strong leadership skills to manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for software and engineering challenges.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and stakeholders.
