Our client, Sigma Delta Services, is a leading specialist in the restoration, repair, and enhancement of automotive electronic systems. They focus on Ferrari-Maserati sticky trims, radio repair, PCB design, and advanced vehicle technology installations.Working with prestigious brands such as Ferrari, Porsche, Maserati, and BMW, they deliver precision-engineered solutions to restore and enhance electronic components.
They are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Technologist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive electronics, PCB development, and system integration, with a passion for working on high-end and classic vehicles.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and optimizing PCB layouts for automotive electronic systems.
- Conducting system diagnostics and troubleshooting electronic faults in vehicles.
- Designing and implementing modifications to automotive electronic components to enhance functionality.
- Overseeing the restoration, assembly, and re-engineering of vehicle control units and electronic systems.
- Conducting performance testing and calibration of electronic components.
- Installing modern vehicle technologies, including Bluetooth integration, rear cameras, and smart interface systems.
- Collaborating with engineers and technicians to develop innovative solutions for automotive electronic restoration and enhancement.
- Ensuring compliance with Australian automotive electronic standards and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field plus 2 years of experience in automotive electronics or PCB design.
- Proficiency in circuit design, electronic system troubleshooting, and programming of embedded systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with PCB layout software and automotive diagnostic tools.
- Knowledge of modern vehicle electronic systems and compliance standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 - $85,000 p.a. + Superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
