Are you passionate about social policy? Join our team at Queensland Treasury and play a key role in shaping policies that impact Queensland's communities. As a Treasury Analyst, you will partner with Queensland Government agencies to resolve complex policy and budget issues, provide strategic advice to senior management and Ministers, lead projects, and manage crucial government processes.This role affords you the opportunity to apply your strong analytical, communication, and relationship management skills.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships and partnerships with clients and stakeholders on a range of issues.- Advise on strategic and operational matters, including public policy, legislation and regulation, program implementation, performance monitoring and evaluation, financial management and accounting policy, and/or risk assessment and management.- Support budget planning and performance monitoring of government agencies.- Prepare reports, submissions, briefing notes, commentary, presentations, and correspondence.- Support the organisational strategy, direction, and initiatives.
What experience you will bring:
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.- Strong research and analytical skills.- Experience in government policy or financial reporting or similar analytical roles.- An ability to work as part of a team and work independently on complex, time-sensitive tasks.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant qualifications are highly regarded.
