HD Fitter
At least 1 year mining environment experience while working on some of the above equipment brands.
Must be organized and be safety conscious at all times while working in a team or individually.
Key Roles Include;Diagnose and Repair Diesel Engines:
Troubleshoot and identify issues with diesel engines and associated systems, such as fuel injection, cooling, and exhaust systems.
Perform repairs and adjustments as necessary to ensure equipment optimal performance.
Perform Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks on diesel engines and machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure reliability.
This includes inspecting, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
Operate Tools and Equipment:Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to perform repairs and maintenance tasks. Safely operate machinery and follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials.
Read and Interpret Technical Manuals:Refer to technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to understand equipment specifications and troubleshoot complex issues. Stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
Document Work and Maintain Records:Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and equipment status. Maintain organized documentation for compliance and future reference.
Collaborate with Team Members:Coordinate with other technicians, mechanics, and supervisors to prioritize tasks and support workflow efficiency. Communicate effectively to share information and coordinate efforts.
Adhere to Safety Protocols: Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
Identify and address potential hazards, and participate in safety training programs.
Provide Technical Support: Assist colleagues and clients with technical inquiries and troubleshooting guidance.
Offer expertise and recommendations to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Qualifications: Must have Australian recognized Trade qualification of a Heavy Diesel Fitter and a Valid Australian drivers license.
Proven experience as a Diesel Fitter.Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
Familiarity with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy machinery.
Proficiency in reading technical manuals and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certification or formal training in diesel mechanics is preferred.
Commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
