Assistant Accountant
The Role:
We're working with a growing, dynamic organization to recruit an Assistant Accountant for a 3-month contract. In this role, you'll support the finance team with key accounting tasks and contribute to process improvements that will help scale operations.The position offers a flexible hybrid working model and great exposure to a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end and year-end reporting activities
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Reconcile bank statements and key balance sheet accounts
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Help identify opportunities for streamlining processes and improving efficiency
About You:
You're detail-oriented, eager to learn, and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Progressing toward CPA or CA qualification is highly regarded
- Previous experience in a similar Assistant Accountant or Accounts Officer role
- Proficient with accounting software and confident in Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset
