Retail Manager

As the face of our business, you’ll be responsible for managing staff, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring the smooth running of all store functions.

This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone with energy, initiative, and a passion for retail.

Salary: $74,000 – $76,000 + Superannuation

1. Manage the overall operations of the Shell Seaford retail site, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction
2. Lead, train, and supervise a team of sales assistants and roster staff across multiple shifts
3. Ensure compliance with OHS, fuel handling, and tobacco licensing regulations
4. Maintain inventory levels, manage stock orders, and conduct regular audits
5. Oversee merchandising, product presentation, and promotional activity
6. Monitor sales performance and identify strategies to improve KPIs and margins
7. Resolve customer complaints and maintain high service standards
8. Manage cash handling, banking, and reconciliation processes
9. Implement systems and procedures to ensure loss prevention and efficiency
10. Report to senior management on site performance and operational updates

1. At least 1–2 years of experience in a retail or service station management role
2. Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
3. Sound knowledge of POS systems (Independent Solutions in particular will be looked at favourably), inventory control, and shift scheduling
4. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
5. Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
6. Understanding of fuel and convenience retail regulations is an advantage
7. Relevant qualification in business or retail management (desirable but not essential)
8. Sites could be interstate so travel is a definite priority.
