Do you have a passion for premium food and a flair for leading high-performing teams? Join Invidia Foods Group, as our Retail Manager at No Time for Grace. Our Italian artisan bakery branch of our business.

About Us

At Invidia Foods Group, we live and breathe anything relating to great quality produce.

In addition to our wholesale and foodservice gelato division, we are excited to expand to a retail store in South Yarra, where customers can enjoy our full range of premium products. The store is a vibrant, customer-focused space that showcases our commitment to quality, flavour, and the art of traditional Italian artisan techniques.

About the Role

As Retail Manager, you will take full ownership of the day-to-day operations at our store in South Yarra. This role is ideal for a proactive, hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You will be responsible for leading a passionate team, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards in product presentation, service, and store cleanliness. Your leadership will directly influence customer engagement, sales growth, and team development.

Beyond the shop floor, you’ll also play a strategic role in driving local marketing initiatives, analysing store performance and managing inventory levels.

Responsibilities
o Plan and maintain a well-curated product selection that aligns with customer demand and seasonal trends.
o Determine appropriate stock levels and ensure timely replenishment while avoiding overstocking or shortages.
o Develop in-store service standards that reflect our commitment to excellence and customer delight.
o Design and execute local marketing initiatives, in-store promotions, and advertising campaigns.
o Set competitive pricing strategies in line with company objectives and market expectations.
o Lead customer engagement efforts, including personalising service and providing expert product advice.
o Monitor and maintain records of inventory, stock movements, and daily financial transactions.
o Prepare and manage store budgets, working towards financial goals and ensuring cost control.
o Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of all retail team members.
o Foster a supportive, team-focused environment through strong supervision and mentorship.

o Ensure all operational activities are fully compliant with occupational health and safety regulations, food safety laws, and internal policies.

Key Skills and Experience Requirements:
  1. 3 years of proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role, preferably within the food, hospitality, or FMCG sectors.
  2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and manage a diverse team in a high-paced environment.
  3. Demonstrated experience in stock control, ordering, pricing strategies, and inventory management systems.
  4. Solid understanding of retail financials including budgeting, cost control, and sales performance reporting.
  5. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a passion for creating outstanding in-store experiences.
  6. Knowledge of merchandising and promotional strategies, with the ability to execute local marketing campaigns.
  7. Understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations and compliance requirements.
  8. Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
  1. A Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Retail Management, Business, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Alternatively, significant hands-on experience in retail operations and leadership may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
Why Us?
o Join a business with deep roots and a vibrant future in food innovation.
o Staff discounts, growth opportunities, and a creative team culture.

o Hands-on role where your decisions truly shape the customer experience.
