We are looking for Shark Dive Coordinator to join our wonderful team at SEA LIFE Sydney on a Casual basis!
About the Role
We are seeking a casual shark dive coordinator to join the Shark Dive Xtreme team at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium. These roles are primarily responsible for coordinating and conducting introductory SCUBA sessions for our guests, as well as:
- Running daily operations, deliver consistently high-quality guest experiences.
- Ensuring adherence to all relevant dive industry and company standards.
- Delivering safety briefs, completing in-water skill sessions while ensuring the safety of guests, staff and animals.
- General administration, including completion of accurate and up to date records for dive logs and customer medical declaration forms.
- Maintaining high levels of cleanliness and hygiene of all diving equipment and associated areas.
- Managing the efficient and seamless transition of divers through the Shark Dive experience.
About You
A passion for working in the tourism/attraction industry is essential to any of our roles. To shine in this position, you will also have:
- Experience conducting both open water courses and introductory dives, and as a minimum hold an Active Open Water Instructor status (SDI/SSI/PADI or equivalent).
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current Oxygen provider certificate
- Current AS.2299 Dive Medical (or willingness to complete).
- BSBWHS211 – Contribute to health and safety of self and others (BSBWHS201 for some RTO providers) or willingness to complete at own expense. This is an online module that can be completed through Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme (ADAS).
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to multi-task and have a flexible and adaptable approach along with the ability to meet deadlines and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills.
