The Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas Resort is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospitality Manager reporting directly to the Hotel Manager.
Job Description
Hospitality Manager’s responsibilities include and are not limited to:- Initiates the implementation of Front Office Standards & Procedures
- Provide exceptional service to guests.
- Purchase stock/inventory according to purchasing procedures
- Manage and maximize occupancy, revenue, and average rate while maintaining high service standards via the upselling programs within the department
- Ensure that the arrival and departure experience is managed efficiently, promptly and courteously
- Participate in the preparation of the Strategic Business and Operating Plan.
- Prepare monthly outlook/forecast reports.
- Conduct development and performance reviews, identifying key personnel for further development and structured career paths.
- Prepare work schedules and annual leave schedules within budget, business expectations
- Oversee the selection and appointment of new associates within the department.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to keep all associates informed.
- Preferred applicants will have valid working rights to work in Australia. Sponsorship will not be available for this position.
- In possession of Hospitality qualification or equivalent
- Previous work experience in a managerial role within Front Office
- Having an outgoing personality and passion for the industry
- Excellent communication
- Strong Leadership skills

Salary $73,000 - $75,000
