Location

This iconic Resort is situated between the renowned Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest in Tropical North Queensland. The resort comprises 295 guest rooms, suites and villas.

Primary Duties:

Immediately act to restore guest satisfaction, demonstrating Marriott Standards at all times.
Be familiar with all room rates, types, availability, daily events, promotions, V.I.P.', outlets and operating hours.
Effectively communicate by disseminating information to associated departments.

Fulfilling guest needs and requests during their stay to the highest standard.

Ensure adherence to all Standards and Procedures
Liaise with Housekeeping Department to ensure adequate rooms are available for arrivals.
Ensure group arrivals and check in are co-ordinated smoothly.
To be familiar with the Marriott Loyalty Program, its benefits and its operation. Promote membership at all times and ensure that members receive the benefits that they are entitled to.
Investigate room discrepancies and conduct room inspections.
Review all in-house accounts to ensure correct room rates are charged.
Encourage selling of Hotel’s outlets, facilities, tours and .activities.
Report and/or take action on any equipment breakdown or safety issue relevant to your work area.

Follow the direction of your Manager and undertake duties as requested.

Service:

Actively solicit guest feed back in order to seek continual improvement in service and to ensure guest satisfaction.
Review guest feedback and provide follow up and action.
To apply a courteous and professional approach toward guests and fellow associates at all times, in line with the Marriott Customer Service Standards.Educational Qualifications
High school certificate or equivalent qualification

A qualification in Hotel Management (desirable)

Professional Experience: 18 months in a similar role.

Experience in an international standard 4 or 5 star Hotel (desirable)Certificates: Full Drivers License (preferable)

Salary $67,109
