Banana Farm Worker Required: Employed under the Horticultural Award 2020 (MA000028)
Field based position undertaking a range of banana growing activities. This is a physical role which will require the staff member to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Activities include but are not limited to:- Harvesting
- Deleafing
- Desuckering
- Strining
- Fixing Irrigation
- Weeding
- Physically Fit
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work up to 38 hours a week (with additional work hours optional)
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Good English – ability to understand simple instructions
- Flexibility to work in all weather conditions, such as daytime temperatures of over 35 degrees and long periods of constant rain
- Prepared to start as soon as possible and remain in the position for up to 9 months.
- Drivers License
- Experience in farm/construction labouring work
- Experience in driving farm machinery
There is potential to upskill and additional training may be provided.
