Full Time Café Manager

Established in late 2022, Inter/Section is a new dining hub in the heat of Brisbane CBD. Nestled in Midtown Centre, the space incorporates café, patisserie and restaurant. Inter/Section is looking for a passionate and talented Café Manager to join our team.

Café Manager (full-time)

$75,000 per year, plus superannuation

• Manage day-to-day operations of the café
• Plan and monitor sales levels, budgets and profitability of the café
• Coordinate between FOH and BOH team, ensuring best practice
• Work closely with the Head Chef to create, review and modify menus as well as to meet financial goals of the business – budgeting and scheduling, inventory and expense control, etc.
• Recruit, train, motivate and manage employees
• Organise staff rosters
• Ensure superior food and beverage as well as service are delivered
• Manage stock levels and order supplies when needed
• Handle customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, workplace health and safety regulations
• Prepare reports on a regular basis and provide advice to the owner on ways to improve efficiency and profitability

• Proven experience in the restaurant industry
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Café Manger or similar roles
• AQF diploma or above qualification in a relevant field
• Food Safety Certificate
• RSA certificate
• Strong communication, leadership, motivation and team management skills
• A passion for delivering excellent customer service
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Skills in budgeting and financial analysis to manage costs and ensure profitability
