Role Summary: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to orchestrate our kitchen's dynamic, ensuring every dish represents the essence of our heritage. This role demands creativity, precision, and a dedication to culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Menu Innovation and Cost Management: Craft and refine menus reflecting our traditional offerings while managing food and labour costs. Strategize on food supply orders to ensure efficiency and sustainability.
- Quality Control: Uphold the highest standards of dish preparation from inception to presentation, ensuring each plate embodies perfection.
- Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with management and staff to enhance food preparation strategies and kitchen operations. Share knowledge with the team, offering guidance on cooking techniques and procedures.
- Training and Development: Lead by example, providing training and development opportunities for kitchen staff to grow and excel in their culinary roles.
- Safety and Hygiene Oversight: Champion and educate the team on the importance of kitchen hygiene and safety regulations to maintain a pristine cooking environment.
- Culinary Execution: Hands-on preparation and cooking of dishes, ensuring each recipe is followed meticulously to deliver outstanding taste and quality.
- Innovation in Preservation: Explore methods for food preservation that align with our menu needs and customer preferences, enhancing the longevity and freshness of our ingredients.
Type: Full-time, 38 hours per week
