As our restaurant continues to grow, we are looking for a passionate and talented Chef to join our team and help craft exceptional dishes that delight our patrons.
About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Chef who is eager to lead the kitchen, develop menus, and create unforgettable culinary experiences. You will be instrumental in upholding our standards of quality, innovation, and authenticity.
Key Responsibilities:- Menu Development: Design and refine menus that showcase traditional Indian dishes and innovative creations, catering to diverse customer preferences.
- Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, and vegetarian options, ensuring consistent taste and presentation.
- Team Leadership: Train, supervise, and inspire kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation, ensuring every dish aligns with Aangan’s reputation for excellence.
- Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels, order supplies, and minimize waste to maintain cost efficiency.
- Customer Engagement: Work closely with front-of-house staff to adapt dishes based on customer feedback and dietary requirements.
- Qualifications: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Chef, with a focus on Indian cuisine.
- Skills: Expertise in traditional Indian cooking techniques, spices, and ingredients. Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Personal Attributes: Passionate about food, detail-oriented, and dedicated to creating a positive dining experience.
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential.
