About the role:

Dee Why RSL is seeking a talented and experienced Chef Tournant to join our thriving kitchen team. As a Chef Tournant, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chefs of each of our dining venues in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our valued members and guests.

This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, contributing to the overall success of Dee Why RSL.

What you'll be doing:
  • Assist each venue in the preparation and cooking of a wide range of dishes, ensuring consistent high-quality output.
  • Demonstrate a diverse skill set, able to work across various stations in each kitchen as required.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen teams to deliver exceptional customer service and satisfied diners.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new menu items and culinary concepts.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock control to optimise kitchen efficiency.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
What we're looking for:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chef Tournant or similar role in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment.
  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management.
  • Strong technical cooking skills and a comprehensive understanding of a variety of cooking methods and cuisine styles.
  • Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Passion for creating innovative, visually appealing, and delicious culinary offerings.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and provide guidance and support to junior staff.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Current Food Safety certification or willingness to obtain one.
What sort of hours you’ll work:
  • A full-time role, 38 hours per week.
  • You’ll need to be available weekdays, weekends, evenings and public holidays.
  • Some split shifts may be required.
