About the Role
The Financial Reporting Manager will play a pivotal role in the finance department, managing financial reporting processes to ensure compliance with ASIC regulations, Australian Accounting Standards, and other relevant financial reporting requirements.This position will focus on process improvements, quality assurance, and controls, with exposure to financial modeling and performance monitoring.
Key Accountabilities
Reporting directly to the CFO, this dynamic role offers the opportunity to shape the financial landscape of the organization. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the preparation of comprehensive financial statements and support schedules, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with ASIC regulations and accounting standards.
- Orchestrating the external audit process, serving as the liaison between the team and auditors to ensure a seamless audit experience.
- Developing concise, technically robust accounting papers along with associated policies and procedures to uphold financial integrity.
- Preparing monthly and quarterly regulatory submissions, including critical calculations and forecasts required for financial services licensing.
- Conducting thorough Balance Sheet reconciliations to maintain financial health and transparency.
- Implementing quality assurance measures to elevate financial operations to the highest standard.
- Contributing to the Risk & Audit Committee and financial governance processes.
- Managing and refining company valuation and budget models to provide strategic insights into financial planning and performance.
- Engaging in various ad hoc projects, including competitor analysis and specialized reporting, to explore the financial dynamics driving the industry.
Position Requirements
- CFD experience (highly advantageous)
- Qualified CA/CPA
- Audit background (highly advantageous)
- Month end and financial reporting experience in financial services
- Worked / working in a smaller business environment
- Happy to work in the offices 5 days a week (nice hours, family feel)
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA.

Your Profile
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate relevant experience working as a Financial Reporting Manager in a hands on role- Financial reporting and month end experience
- CFD or financial services experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
