About Our Client
Our client is a multinational Infrastructure business, based in Melbourne's CBD. Due to numerous on-going projects, our client is keen to attract an experienced finance professional to join the team as a Senior Financial Accountant.
Job Description
The successful candidate will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for the following:
- Accurate and timely preparation and submission of month‐end general ledger journals
- weekly bank reconciliations, ensuring account balances are appropriately maintained;
- monthly balance sheet reconciliations;
- monthly/quarterly BAS returns
- Accrual, receivable and prepayment schedules and record corresponding journals
- Maintain fixed asset register, depreciation schedules, financial asset schedule.
- Maintain key spreadsheets and financial models
- Prepare audited annual accounts
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience working as a Financial Accountant and have excellent commercial acumen. The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
- CA or CPA qualified
- Previously trained in Audit within a mid-tier or Big 4 organisation is highly sought after
- Strong technical ability with Excel
- Excellent Excel skills
- Strong analytically skills
