We are currently seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead our food safety and quality assurance programs. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a thriving industry in regional Australia.

About the Role

As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all meat products meet Australian food safety regulations, industry standards, and customer expectations. You will oversee compliance, hygiene, and quality control processes while working closely with internal teams, government authorities, and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with HACCP, Safe Food Australia, FSANZ, and export requirements.
  • Quality Control Inspections: Conduct regular inspections and testing to monitor product safety, hygiene, and quality.
  • Food Safety & Hazard Analysis: Implement and manage HACCP programs, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
  • Team Training & Supervision: Train and mentor staff on food safety protocols, quality standards, and hygiene practices.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality control processes, audits, and compliance reports.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Customer & Supplier Coordination: Address quality concerns, manage customer feedback, and liaise with suppliers.
What We’re Looking For
  • Relevant Qualifications in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Compliance role (meat processing or food manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety regulations, and meat processing standards.
  • Ability to conduct internal audits and work with regulatory authorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and leadership abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, government bodies, and external stakeholders.
