We are looking for a skilled SAP Project Manager to oversee SAP implementation and transformation projects, with a strong grasp of SAP solutions and project management in utilities or asset-intensive industries. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to manage timelines, budgets, and risks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Management:

  • Lead the full SAP project lifecycle, including S/4HANA implementations and upgrades.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans detailing scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Define project goals and KPIs aligned with business objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

  • Serve as the main point of contact among business stakeholders, technical teams, and partners.
  • Conduct workshops to gather requirements and align project goals.
  • Provide project updates, risks, and mitigation strategies to leadership.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure collaboration.
  • Mentor team members to foster accountability and performance.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and third-party consultants.

Risk and Issue Management:

  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Develop contingency plans to minimize project disruptions.
  • Escalate critical issues to leadership when necessary.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Oversee project budgets and track expenses against financial goals.
  • Optimize resource allocation across teams and partners.

Quality Assurance and Delivery:

  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and requirements.
  • Oversee testing phases such as integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify improvement opportunities.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in managing large-scale SAP projects, including S/4HANA implementations.
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules relevant to utilities or asset-intensive industries, such as SAP IS-U, Plant Maintenance (PM), Asset Management, or SAP EAM.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
  • Familiarity with SAP technical landscapes, including cloud migration, data integration, and analytics tools (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud).
  • Competence in managing SAP-related tools like SAP Solution Manager or project management platforms like JIRA or MS Project.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills in high-pressure environments.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification desirable.
  • SAP certifications (e.g., S/4HANA Project Management) are an added advantage.
