About the Position:
The Chef at Cherry’s Corner will play a pivotal role in crafting and innovating the dessert menu, specializing in customizable dessert jars. This full-time position involves working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring consistent quality and presentation while contributing to the business’s creative vision.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and assemble dessert jars with precision, adhering to recipes and customization requests.
Develop new dessert recipes and seasonal offerings to enhance the menu.Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness.
Manage inventory, including sourcing and storing ingredients to minimize waste.
Collaborate with the team to fulfill orders for events, deliveries, and pickups.
Contribute to social media content by showcasing dessert preparation processes.
Requirements: Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.Minimum Qualifications Required: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
Minimum Experience Required: 1 year of professional kitchen experience, preferably in desserts or patisserie.
Expertise in dessert preparation, including layering, baking, and decorating.Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality.
Creativity in developing new recipes and flavor combinations.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic photography or presentation skills for social media content (desirable).
