About the Role:
As the Customer Service Team Leader, you will manage a team of 5 customer service professionals, focusing on the people side of leadership-supporting, guiding, and ensuring that your team consistently delivers high-quality service. You'll be hands-on, approachable, and ready to step in when needed to keep operations running smoothly. Your leadership will foster a positive and collaborative environment while maintaining professionalism and ensuring efficient team performance.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example: Actively engage with the team, participating in day-to-day tasks such as answering phones and managing orders when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Team management: Provide support, mentoring, and training, empowering your team members and creating a collaborative, non-hierarchical work culture.
- Customer service excellence: Foster a culture of exceptional customer service by ensuring all customer interactions are followed through to their best possible outcome.
- Process improvement: Continuously assess and refine customer service processes, aiming to reduce errors and increase efficiency.
- Collaboration across departments: Work closely with purchasing, aftersales, finance, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure smooth, coordinated operations.
- Development and training: Identify and implement opportunities for team growth, providing training and development resources to promote continuous learning.
- Flexible leadership style: Take a hands-on, approachable leadership role without micromanaging, empowering the team and offering support where necessary.
The Successful Applicant
Requirements:
- Experience in Wholesale/Products: Must have worked in a wholesale or product-based environment with a strong understanding of order processing and dispatch.
- 3rd Party Logistics Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of 3rd party logistics and the entire order process from start to finish (order processing to dispatch).
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Proven experience in managing both internal and external stakeholders and dealing with vendors effectively.
- Leadership Experience: You must have previously trained and/or mentored a team, fostering development and ensuring operational efficiency.

- You are a proactive, approachable leader who doesn't mind stepping in to assist your team when needed.
- You have a strong focus on communication and fostering a team-oriented, flexible environment with no rigid hierarchy.
- You are confident in making decisions and solving problems quickly, ensuring smooth customer service operations.
