Sterilisation Technician
Overview:
Permanent position to commence as soon as possible
Full-time onsite role located at Eight Mile Plains

Reporting to the Manager, Sterilisation, this role is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective operation of Cook Australia sterilisation chambers and ancillary equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate sterilisation chambers and ancillary equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance for the sterilisation chambers and ancillary equipment.
- Perform calibration of instrumentation associated with the sterilisation chambers and ancillary equipment.
- Schedule, coordinate and oversee external contractors (as required).
- Assist in the preparation and execution of process validations and feasibility studies.
- Record and review process performance and maintenance and calibration activities against specified parameters in an accurate manner.
- Participate in the development of risk assessments.
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work on a 4-day, 38-hour week rotating roster within the range of hours from 3.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Saturday.
- Flexibility with occasional overtime as required.
- Experience working in a processing/manufacturing environment essential.
- Experience working to standard operating procedures and following WH&S regulations essential.
- An understanding of sterilisation operations/process desirable.
- Experience working with toxic and/or explosive chemicals and hazardous atmospheres desirable.
- Experience working with computer-controlled production processes and PLCs desirable.
- Strong proficiency with computers including but not limited to the Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of technical aptitude with the ability to analyse technical problems.
