Finance Manager - Part-time
The successful candidate will primarily manage the financial operations of a Sydney-based private equity manager. With a generous salary package of $150,000 + Super, this position is based in the heart of Sydney's CBD.

As a part-time Finance Manager, your role will be diverse and engaging. You'll be responsible for managing the financial operations of a Sydney-based private equity manager. Your excellent communication skills will be utilised as you liaise with portfolio companies and investment teams to ensure the accuracy of investment records.Your commitment to delivering superior client service will shine through as you handle everything from fund cash flow management to developing financial policies. - Manage day-to-day finance activities including payroll, receivables, payables, management and statutory reporting and tax compliance.
- Maintain ledger, calculate fees and carried interest waterfall.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of investment records through liaison with portfolio companies and investment teams.
- Manage fund cash flow including collection of capital calls, payment of distributions, settlement of investment transaction disbursements and receipts and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare tax returns, statements and reports.
- Provide financial data requirements for quarterly investor reporting.
- Handle annual financial reporting and audit requirements.
- Report to AusIndustry, ABS, AIC etc on investment activities.
- Develop financial policies, procedures and systems.
- Assist with AFSL and regulatory compliance, insurance and other business projects.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in private equity or funds management. Your CA/CPA qualifications will be complemented by your ability to manage day-to-day finance activities and your knowledge of Investran for ledger maintenance.Your excellent communication skills will be key in liaising with various stakeholders, while your experience in fund cash flow management and preparing tax returns will be invaluable. - CA/CPA qualifications are essential.
- Prior experience in private equity or funds management is required.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Experience in managing day-to-day finance activities including payroll, receivables, payables, management and statutory reporting and tax compliance.
- Knowledge of Investran for ledger maintenance is beneficial.
- Experience in fund cash flow management is desirable.
- Ability to prepare tax returns, statements and reports is crucial.
- Experience in handling annual financial reporting and audit requirements is advantageous.
- Knowledge of AFS licence and regulatory compliance is beneficial.
