Job Description
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a critical role in managing financial operations, ensuring statutory compliance, and leading audit processes. The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in assisting with the integration of a newly acquired business into the group, alongside supporting various automation and streamlining initiatives across multiple entities. This is a hands-on Finance Manager role that will see you collaborate with the CFO and senior stakeholders to drive financial efficiency and improve operational processes.Key Responsibilities will include the following:
- Lead initiatives to streamline processes and drive automation across the group's entities.
- Statutory Reporting: Lead the preparation of accurate and timely statutory accounts, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Audit Management: Act as the primary liaison for external and internal audits, ensuring all audit processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Financial Controls & Governance: Strengthen financial controls and policies to safeguard the business and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Cashflow management
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, providing key insights to guide decision-making. You will also assist with cashflow management.
- Taxation & Compliance: Oversee tax compliance and manage external tax advisors to ensure adherence to all tax regulations.
- Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and evaluate ROI on future capital investments.
- Work on ad hoc projects as directed by the CFO or CEO.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have the following:
- Experience working in a similar hands-on Finance Manager or Financial Controller position within the manufacturing, industrial, logistics or FMCG industry will be advantageous.
- Hands-on knowledge of SAP or Pronto is highly desirable, including being involved in systems improvements or implementations.
- Be available to start on short notice.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with senior management and key stakeholders.
- The ability to thrive in an evolving and fast-paced work environment.
