Retail Manager - Melbourne

As we expand our operations, we are looking for a driven and capable Retail Manager to lead our store and team into the next phase of growth.

About the Role

• Manage daily store operations, ensuring smooth opening, closing, and shift transitions
• Supervise, roster, and mentor a team of sales assistants and junior staff
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and maintain stock accuracy and display standards
• Ensure exceptional customer service is consistently delivered
• Implement promotional activities and merchandising plans to drive sales
• Track and analyse store performance metrics (sales, shrinkage, staff productivity)
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a timely, professional manner
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, licensing, and company policies
• Liaise with senior management to align store goals with business strategy

• Prior experience as a Retail Manager or Supervisor (minimum 1–2 years)
• Strong understanding of inventory control, point-of-sale systems, and staff management
• A hands-on leadership style with a commitment to motivating and developing your team
• Proven ability to drive sales, increase efficiency, and improve the customer experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organisational ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Background in multicultural or grocery retail preferred (but not essential)
