About the role:

The Systems Administrator manages the day-to-day operations of systems and solutions within CDC’s Corporate and Operational Technology environments. They ensure seamless integration and ongoing support while acting as the primary escalation point for Help Desk incidents.

Other Responsibilities Include:

  • Install, configure, and maintain software, hardware, networks, and technology tools.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
  • Manage network servers, workstations, and infrastructure, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
  • Implement upgrades, patches, and new releases while developing technical documentation and IT policies.
  • Train, mentor, and support staff in adopting new technologies and best practices.
  • Provide cultural leadership, champion IT policies, and take on additional duties as required.

About you:

This role is ideal for a candidate with proven experience in troubleshooting complex application and system issues at Levels 2 and 3. The ideal candidate should also have hands-on experience with enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.

  • Previous experience working with Microsoft Azure and M365.
  • Support complex ICT and OT solutions, including VMware, Dell, Aruba, Palo Alto, EntraID, and Intune.

Essential:

Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
