The Role
The part you play is pivotal, reporting into the Financial Controller and with a dotted line to the CFO, you will drive the following activity:
- Managing financial reporting and compliance with an eye on half year and year end reporting including group level document preparation
- Taking ownership of the month end closing including consolidated financial reporting
- Preparing and posting journals and managing reconciliations
- Providing technical accounting expertise and adhering to the latest accounting standards
- Collaborating interdepartmentally to deliver results
- Preparing monthly balance sheets, and consolidated cash flow projections
- Supporting the external audit process
Your Profile
Someone with strong initiative and communication skills, you will:
- Be CA or CPA Qualified
- Have around 4 - 6 years relevant industry experience
- Have advanced excel skills, experience with SAP highly desired
- Ideal candidate is Big-4 Audit trained
- Have a growth focussed mindset with an eye for process improvement and a passion for retail
- Be a keen problem solver, feel confident using your initiative and thrive in a fast paced role
