Restaurant Manager Position – Four Frogs Crêperie

About the Role
Location: Randwick, Mosman.
Full-time position
Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation

As the Restaurant Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional service, and driving the success of the restaurant. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager and General Manager, you’ll also work closely with the Head Chef to maintain operational efficiency and deliver the Four Frogs experience to every guest.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Develop, implement, and uphold procedures that guarantee smooth service and operational excellence.

Oversee all aspects of the restaurant, including food and beverage standards, guest satisfaction, and team performance.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and Fair Work guidelines.

Conduct regular quality control checks and resolve any issues proactively.

Customer Experience

Deliver a warm, welcoming atmosphere that meets or exceeds guest expectations.

Liaise with guests to understand and respond to their needs.

Lead by example, ensuring exceptional customer service throughout every shift.

Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and ambiance of the restaurant.

Team Development & Management

Train, mentor, and support team members to foster a collaborative, motivated environment.

Lead pre-service briefings to share updates, goals, and operational priorities.

Manage recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training programs for new and existing staff.

Provide regular feedback and evaluations to ensure continuous professional growth.

Profit & Cost Management

Collaborate with the Head Chef to manage labour costs and optimize scheduling.

Conduct regular inventory checks, control stock, and monitor waste.

Support budget management to align operations with financial targets.

Identify opportunities for upselling and increasing revenue.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Enforce RSA compliance and ensure all staff adhere to liquor licensing regulations.

Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in line with health standards.

Proactively address hazards and incidents, ensuring timely reporting and resolution.

Innovation & Creativity

Drive initiatives to improve operations, enhance customer experience, and grow revenue.

Stay updated on industry trends in food, beverage, and service standards.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks like carrying food trays, beverages, and supplies.

Physically capable of moving furniture, stocking items, and handling kitchen equipment.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Customer satisfaction and positive feedback.

Compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Achievement of financial goals (profitability, labor cost control).

Maintenance of high staff morale and low turnover.

What You Bring

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Advanced Diploma in hospitality management (or higher education)

3+ years in a Food and Beverage Assistant Manager or Restaurant Manager role.

Proven track record of team leadership and operational success.

Skills & Knowledge

Strong organizational and delegation skills.

Up-to-date knowledge of food, beverage, and service trends.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office.

Knowledge of wine, spirits, and coffee is highly valued.

Speaking French is a bonus!
