Star Celebrations Pty Ltd, trading as Madison Function Centre, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cook to join our team on a full-time basis. Our venue is renowned for delivering high-quality food and exceptional service for weddings, corporate events, and special functions.

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Cook who can prepare and present a wide range of dishes to a high standard in a fast-paced function centre environment. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

• Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of menu items for functions, events, and à la carte dining.
• Ensure all food is prepared in line with company recipes, presentation standards, and portion control guidelines.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and consistency at all times.
• Assist in menu planning, costing, and seasonal updates.
• Manage stock rotation, inventory control, and ordering of supplies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Train, supervise, and coordinate kitchen staff where required.
• Work with management to deliver high-quality food service aligned with customer expectations.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards.

• Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience as a Cook.
• Strong knowledge of commercial cooking techniques, food safety, and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the function schedule.

• Competitive salary of $70,000 – $80,000 per annum + superannuation.
