Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum

Chachu’s Indian Street Food is a family-run restaurant business dedicated to bringing authentic Indian street food culture to Sydney. Operated by A4L PTY LTD, Chachu’s has built a strong reputation for delivering freshly prepared, high-quality Indian cuisine that reflects traditional flavours and modern presentation.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Cook to join our team at our Brookvale location.

• Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with restaurant standards and recipes
• Setting up and organising kitchen workstations with required ingredients and equipment
• Preparing ingredients, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces and accompaniments
• Monitoring food during preparation and cooking to ensure proper timing, quality, and presentation
• Ensuring food is presented attractively and consistently to meet quality standards
• Maintaining a clean, hygienic, and organised kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations
• Storing food appropriately to maintain freshness and prevent contamination
• Assisting with stock control, monitoring supplies, and reporting shortages where necessary
• Supporting the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure efficient kitchen operations
• Assisting with training junior kitchen staff and maintaining consistent preparation standards
• Ensuring all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained in good working condition

Skills and Experience

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery; or
• At least 3 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Cook

• At least 1 year of full-time kitchen experience in a commercial kitchen environment
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene
• A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
