Italian restaurant looking for chefs
Aperitivo is on the lookout for a Full Time Chef de Partie and Pizza Chef to join our team in Leichhardt, NSW.
At Aperitivo, our food is grounded in traditional Italian cooking, with a focus on quality ingredients and simple, well executed dishes. Alongside this, our pizza offering brings a more contemporary take on Neapolitan style featuring high crust, light doughs and a strong focus on fermentation and technique.
A bit about the roles.
This is a great opportunity for a confident Chef de Partie or an experienced Pizza Chef who is looking to grow within a supportive team and progress into more senior roles over time.
Chef de Partie
You will be working across sections in a fast paced kitchen, focusing on consistency, quality and developing your skills across prep, service and seasonal menu changes.
Pizza Chef
You will be working with our wood fired oven, focusing on hand stretching pizza dough, fermentation and delivering high quality contemporary Neapolitan style pizza with a high crust.
We are looking for someone who:
- is passionate about food and takes pride in their work
- has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- is open to learning and developing their skills
- has experience working in a busy, fast paced kitchen environment
- ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
Pizza Chef applicants should also have:
- experience with wood fired ovens
- confidence in hand stretching pizza dough
- an understanding of fermentation and dough hydration
If you enjoy being part of a small but dedicated team and have at least 2 years Chef experience, if you are reliable, flexible and eager to grow, then this is the role for you.
Salary $74,000 - $90,000 annual
