Our client, Mercure Ballarat Hotel & Convention Centre, is looking for a Restaurant Manager who is interested in joining their hospitality team on a full-time basis. The hotel, located at Golden Point, Victoria, boasts a wide range of amenities, including comprehensive event hosting, an elegant restaurant, beautiful gardens for ceremonies, comfortable check-in accommodations, and convenient access to Melbourne and nearby attractions.
Situated on seven acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, the hotel offers seven versatile function rooms that can accommodate intimate gatherings of 20 people or large events for up to 600 guests. With both indoor and outdoor settings available, the hotel provides stunning venues for ceremonies and receptions.
The annual salary for the role is $75,000 to $85,000.
Responsibilities include:- Developing menus in collaboration with Chefs.
- Coordinating and organising special events and functions.
- Managing the procurement and pricing of supplies within the allocated budget.
- Keeping accurate records of inventory levels and financial transactions.
- Ensuring that dining areas meet health standards, maintain cleanliness, and present a professional appearance.
- Engaging with customers to gather feedback on their dining experience and overall satisfaction.
- Recruiting, training, and supervising both front-of-house and kitchen staff.
- May handle reservations, welcome guests, and assist with order-taking when necessary.
- Setting and enforcing service standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Managing scheduling and staffing to ensure optimal service levels.
- Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality ingredients and materials.
- Must possess an AQF Diploma in Hospitality Management or relevant field.
- Should have at least three (3) years of relevant work experience.
