We provide our customers with a wide product range including natural flavours, natural colours, fruit purees and pieces as well as healthy and functional ingredients for foods and beverages.
About the Role:This role will be responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with our clients, ensuring their satisfaction and retention. The Account Manager will work closely with our sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to grow our client base.
- Commodity Trading & Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, pricing strategies, and competitive landscapes within the industrial products sector. Manage the procurement and trading of commodities, ensuring profitability and alignment with business objectives.
- International Customer and Supplier Negotiation: Develop and maintain relationships with international clients and suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize business outcomes. Ensure compliance with global trade regulations and company policies.
- Supplier and Product Performance Management: Oversee the performance of suppliers and product lines across 300+ industrial products, implementing quality control measures, evaluating supplier reliability, and optimizing procurement strategies to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Product Ideation, Strategy, and Negotiation: Lead product development initiatives by identifying market gaps, conceptualizing new industrial products, and collaborating with R&D and supply chain teams to bring innovative solutions to market. Negotiate with manufacturers and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Marketing Strategy & Industry Leadership: Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote industrial products, leveraging industry insights and market intelligence. Position the company as a thought leader through innovation, strategic partnerships, and engagement in industry forums.
- Business Development & Sales Growth: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, expanding market share through targeted sales initiatives. Work closely with clients to understand their needs, offering tailored product and service solutions to drive long-term business growth.
- Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, providing technical product guidance, addressing inquiries, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Conduct client visits, product demonstrations, and industry presentations.
- Product Commercialization & Lifecycle Management: Oversee the commercialization process of new and existing products, ensuring alignment with market demand, pricing strategies, and sales forecasts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product performance and profitability.
- Atleast a relevant Bachelor Degree
- Detail oriented with a focus on prioritisation, strong organisation, and ability to manage time effectively
- Strong communication and presentation skills both written and verbal
- Results driven and people orientated with a “customer first” mentality
- Motivated and committed team player with a positive can-do attitude
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen to enable decision making
- Ability to think strategically, self-motivated and a passion for relationship building
- Proactive, ability to use own initiate and creative problem solver
- Systems knowledge of Navision/SAP (not essential)
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Salary Range is 80k to 90k.
