About the roleWe are looking to employ three Room Attendant Team Leaders in fulltime ongoing roles.
As a Room Attendant Team Leader, you will support the housekeeping leadership team to oversee the Room Attendants and ensure that all guest rooms meet the highest standard of cleanliness and presentation. Acting as a mentor and guide for Room Attendants, you will ensure efficient operations and an excellent guest experience. In this role, you will be responsible for:- Cleaning and preparing guest rooms to the level of the InterContinental Brand Standards
- Conduct inspections of prepared guest rooms to ensure compliance with cleanliness and quality standards
- Ensuring supplies, equipment and trolleys are fully stocked and neatly presented for use throughout guest facings areas
- Assist in leading and the management of the housekeeping team, providing support and guidance to ensure high performance and productivity
- Help maintain the health and safety of guests and colleagues, reporting any safety concerns or faulty equipment in a timely manner
About you
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, making it easy for guests to approach you with concerns or compliments, ensuring a positive experience for all. Your problem-solving abilities will turn challenges into opportunities, allowing every guest to leave with great memories.You will have a keen eye for detail and be comfortable working independently. The role requires physical fitness, as you will be on your feet for most of the day and need to bend and kneel frequently.
Intended commencement date for this position would be the 7th of July 2025, with the role being permanent and located on Hayman Island, Queensland.
What we offerAppropriate Australian working rights are required for this role.
- The base hourly rate for this position is $26.78 under the Hayman Island Enterprise Agreement, working a minimum of 38 hours per week across a 7-day roster with shifts spanning from early in the morning until later at night.

No previous experience is necessary as training will be provided. Successful candidates may also have the opportunity to learn and acquire additional skills during their employment.
