About the roleWe are looking to employ three Restaurant & Bars Supervisors in fulltime ongoing roles.
As a Restaurant & Bars Supervisor, you will ensure the smooth conduct of the shift through customer focused service delivery and effective staff supervision; lead seamless guest experience and provide support to colleagues within the department. Coordinate with all departments in the hotel. You will be working with the team on shift to deliver exceptional service, creating rich and personal experiences to our valued guests. In this role, you will be:- Providing training to other colleagues on the IHG hospitality standards of service
- With assistance from the Venue Manager, lead the colleagues working on shift to provide a five-start luxury experience for guests
- Taking orders from guests and delivers food and drinks to guests within the venues
- Provides recommendations and suggestions to customers regarding menu items
- Assist the Venue Manager in coordinating the team to create a seamless guest experience
- Direct Team Members and assist in the set-up of tables and seating arrangement prior to and during service periods
- Follow health and safety regulations and maintains a clean and hygienic work environment
About you
InterContinental Hayman Great Barrier Reef requires a Food and Beverage Supervisor to assist with daily operations in and around restaurant and bar venues. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, making it easy for guests to approach you with concerns or compliments, ensuring a positive experience for all.Problem-solving abilities will turn challenges into opportunities, allowing every guest to leave with great memories. Fluency in the local language is essential, and additional language skills are a plus, while strong reading and writing abilities are important for following instructions.
The role requires physical fitness, as you will be on your feet for most of the day as you serve guests and assist in directing the team on shift.
Intended commencement date for this position would be the 07 July 2025, with the role being permanent and located on Hayman Island, Queensland.
What we offerAppropriate Australian working rights are required for this role.
- The base hourly rate for this position is $29.95 under the Hayman Island Enterprise Agreement, working a minimum of 38 hours per week across a 7-day roster with shifts spanning from early in the morning until later at night.

No previous experience is necessary as training will be provided. Successful candidates may also have the opportunity to learn and acquire additional skills during their employment.
