Senior Financial Accountant

The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality and timely financial reporting for the group. They will ensure strict compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and our internal accounting policies.

This role will also entail executing the consolidation and tax effect accounting processes across our group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all group statutory reporting obligations, including full-year and half-year financial statements.
  • Manage daily liaisons with external auditors and provide technical accounting expertise.
  • Support M&A transactions, enhance finance governance activities, and oversee consolidation and tax effect accounting processes.
  • Provide technical support, training, and guidance to regional finance teams.
  • Oversee the GL reconciliation process and maintain an appropriate audit trail.
  • Effectively communicate vision, strategy, and objectives to team members.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Engage and manage team members ensuring adherence to all group policies, procedures, and regional regulations.
  • Stand ready to address and raise difficult issues and lead the team in executing challenging initiatives.
  • Transfer skills and job knowledge through training other team members.
  • Enable team success with appropriate support and resources.
  • Set clear direction and expectations, delegate effectively, and implement stretch goals to drive higher performance.
  • Work collaboratively to identify risks and compliance requirements relevant to the team, and promote reporting of potential non-compliance via appropriate avenues.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or similar.
  • CA/CPA certified.
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in a multinational or 'Big-4' environment.
  • Proficiency in IFRS application and preparing financial statements.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Proactive, team-player mindset.
