Robert Half is currently recruiting an experienced Assistant Accountant for a well-established company, located in the inner suburbs close to the CBD. The business has grown considerably over the last 3-4 years & is one of the most recognisable sports apparel businesses in its niche.The organisation prides itself on its sustainability & environmental policies, truly market leading in the way that they operate.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will cover leave for 2 months. The role supports an experienced Finance Manager & CFO, in a fast-paced environment. The focus areas for this role will revolve around Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Month - End close.
Your key duties will include:
- Processing invoices
- Preparing payment runs
- Bank reconciliations
- Employee expenses
- Corporate Credit Cards
- Supplier queries
- Credit Notes
- Invoicing
- Managing Major Accounts
- GST & VAT preparation
- Month end support
Your Profile
To be successful you will have proven experience in managing end to end Accounts Payable / Receivable & some month-end close procedures. It's a fun & relaxed office environment so someone who has a great attitude / friendly demeanour would fit well.This role is well suited to a Finance Officer / Assistant Accountant level candidate. Any exposure to an international business would be highly regarded. The organisation has recently implemented NetSuite so any exposure would be advantageous, however not mandatory.
This role is to start straight away, so you will be available to start at short notice.
