We are working exclusively with one of our Blue-chip clients in search of an Industrial Design Engineer to join their ever-growing team. This is a great opportunity to cement yourself in a business that provide long term employment with countless career opportunities.
Our client is a national manufacturer with a presence right across Australia. They are committed to providing the highest quality products and services to our customers.
The Opportunity
Utilise problem solving skills and techniques to be able to ensure that products, equipment, and processes consistently meet established standards.
Key responsibilities:
• Be part of a team that focuses on new product and system development
• Provide innovative ideas for product design and process improvement
• Update and develop documentation for all new and existing components
• Develop cost reduction initiatives through innovative designs and processes
• Question current designs and suggest design and manufacturing process improvements to reduce operating cost and manufacturing time while maintaining product quality
• Control and development of a Bill of materials of any new or existing product
• Work with others to install, test and evaluate new product designs
• Provide technical assistance to other Teams
To be successful:
• Tertiary qualifications and/or similar role experience of 5+ years
• Strong communication abilities encompassing verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Strong computer literacy and ability to encompass different software
• Demonstrated capability to work efficiently, whether independently or as part of a team
• Previous successful design experience
