Job Description
The successful candidate for the Purchasing Coordinator role will have the following responsibilities:
• Raise, maintain and monitor purchase orders (PO's) in the ERP system
• Follow up with suppliers throughout the PO lifecycle, from PO creation until goods receipt
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reports that create efficiencies or improve effectiveness of the purchasing function
• Work with Purchasing Manager to update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), and with IT/Systems teams to enhance applications that lead to improved efficiency and effectiveness
• Monitor supplier performance from a purchasing viewpoint, and bring any issues or concerns to the attention of the broader Procurement
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for the Purchasing Coordinator role will ideally have the following key skills & qualities:
• Desire to build a career in Procurement
• Previous experience in a purchasing/supply chain/logistics/customer service position
• Background in cosmetics/retail/FMCG is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and an aptitude to follow systematic approach/processes.
• The drive and organisational skills necessary to work across several purchase orders, suppliers, and projects simultaneously.
• Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
