Service Planner/Senior Service Planner

Lifetime Support Authority | South Australia | Full-time | AU$2 - AU$86,950/year | medicaljobsaustralia.com |
First, the introductions … The Lifetime Support Authority (LSA) delivers the Lifetime Support Scheme (LSS), which was established under the Motor Vehicle Accidents (Lifetime Support Scheme) Act2013 (SA). The LSS funds necessary and reasonable treatment, care and support for people who sustain serious injuries in a motor vehicle accident on South Australian roads, regardless of fault.
Serious injuries including brain and spinal cord, amputations, burns and blindness can require a lifetime of support to help people recover and maximize their independence in the community. The treatment, care and support services which are funded by the LSS directly relate to a participant's injury.
Once someone has been accepted as a LSS participant, they will receive the necessary and reasonable treatment, care and support required for their lifetime so they can live their best life.

Our person
 •  centred approach ensures that the LSS participant is at the centre of everything we do.

As a team, we are passionate about our contribution and committed to our vision: Our ordinary level of service is extraordinary.

Yes, we are a South Australian Government organisation but one with a difference! Our person-centred approach extends to our people; we offer attractive, modern offices in Adelaide's CBD as well as opportunities to work from home; a dynamic, supportive and flexible work environment and we value empathetic and thoughtful like-minded people, as much as we value skill set.

Our people are important to us and encouraged to flourish through professional development opportunities.
As we grow, so do our people.
Now, let's get to the details … The LSA is looking to fill multiple positions in our Service Planning team, in the roles of Service Planner and Senior Service Planner.
The roles will be a combination of both Ongoing and Short-Term contracts.
In addition to filling several immediate vacancies, the LSA would also like to establish a pool of candidates to fill positions in our Service Planning team which may arise over the next 12 months.
Service Planners and Senior Service Planners are the core of our business, working directly with participants to support their unique and changing needs through the assessment, coordination and monitoring of treatment, care, and support services.

The LSS is a continually growing scheme and as participant numbers increase, so does our need for experienced case management professionals to support and coordinate the planning of participant services.
These roles are a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping others live their best lives and making a positive difference to the journey of LSS participants.
Scheme participants have sustained serious injuries and the LSA are looking for people who will work with them in a respectful and collaborative way, focusing on getting them back on track to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
We are seeking candidates with a deep understanding of acquired disabilities and how these can affect a person in more than just a physical way.
Demonstrated ability to adapt your approach and communication style based on participants needs is crucial, as is the ability to apply analytical thinking and strong reasoning and judgment to inform decisions about appropriate treatment, care, and support.

Successful candidates will have a warm and positive nature with the ability to stay calm under pressure, be resilient and open minded, show empathy and be respectful of participant choices.
These roles require individuals with strong organisational and time management skills, who can ensure documentation and records are accurately maintained to enable us to continue to provide an exceptional level of service.
Are you ready to work with a fantastic, welcoming team and help us support people with sustained injuries to live their best lives?
If so, we want to hear from you!
