Ochre Health Medical Centre Parkes
We have an excellent opportunity for a Rural General Practitioner to bring their skills to rural Australia. With a recent internal transfer we are looking for a General Practitioner who interested in working at a busy practice and can focus on chronic disease management.
Ochre Medical Centre Parkes is a large medical centre, which was established over 50 years ago. This practice has allied/specialist health rooms, on-site pathology and a three-way treatment room for minor procedures. In addition, our nursing team is available for immunisations, vaccinations, BP monitoring, INR monitoring, ECG’s, health assessments & chronic disease management.
There are further opportunities to contribute to the VMO services at Parkes hospital, if desired. You will be well supported by working with experienced GPs VMO, nurses and allied health specialists. The hospital on-call shifts are from 8am to 6pm with night shifts available; with a steady flow of presentations averaging 30 to 35 per day.
In addition, we offer practitioners opportunities to be involved in medical education, research & professional development, and provide all the support you need.
Benefits:
High dollar consult clinic ($400 p/hr) - 75% of billings for the first 3 month
$35k incentive payment paid on start date
Accommodation provided for the supervisor of the JMOs
DPA and MMM4 location
Eligible for RVTS, ACRRM IP, RACGP PEP/FSP - GP Training Pathway
Open to MDRAP bridging program with the RDN
Opportunity to join VMO on-call roster (8am to 6pm) – daily rate over $2,000 per shift
On and off-site operational and clinical management support
Optional Procedural ED/Anaesthetics at Lachlan Health Services
Practice is supported by visiting allied health, and Registered Nurses to assist with CDM, immunizations and women’s health
We track better patient health outcomes and better patient satisfaction scores
Parkes Town has on offer:
Parkes has a population of around 15,000 and is only over 1 hr drive from Dubbo and 5 hr drive from Sydney.
Parkes has 4 primary schools and 2 high schools in the area
Shopping at major retails like Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, Big W, Harvey Norman, Betta Home living and more
Commerce is mainly agriculture and mining
Great town for weather, parks, reserve and all sports
Parkes host internationally known events like Elvis & ABBA festival and also the science and space CSIRO centre.
Requirements:
Currently holding AHPRA General Registration or FRACGP/FRACRRM Fellowship
Interested in health outcomes and Chronic Disease Management
Rights to work in Australia (also available for visa sponsorship)
Flexible working days (part-time or full-time hours)
