Headquartered in the beautiful Champagne region of France, Axon’ Cable is a worldwide leader in specialist interconnect. The group designs and manufactures custom design wires, composite cables, flat flex cables, cable assemblies, connectors and mini-systems for high tech applications.

Axon’ Cable is a French group of over 2400 staff worldwide specialised in the design and manufacture of custom design interconnect including:

 •  Wires and cables: the company is a specialist in the manufacture of high precision conductors and in the extrusion of fluoropolymers such as PTFE, FEP and PFA.
 •  Cable assemblies and harnesses.
 •  Contacts and connectors.
 •  Integrated systems.

The headquarters is located in the beautiful region of Champagne but the Axon' group has a truly global presence with sales and manufacturing subsidiaries along with an extensive network of agents.

As an expert in cabling engineering, Axon’ Cable is able to design the whole cabling network. Axon’ engineers assist customers with the most appropriate tools including simulation software (INVENTOR, CATIA, SEE ELECTRICAL HARNESS) and co-design in all the development stages: idea, concept, prototypes, industrialisation, volume ramp-up and mass production.
Axon’ will bring you cost-effective solutions based on Lean Engineering and Lean Manufacturing principles.

The position is:

 •  Permanent full time
 •  38 hours per week
 •  Remuneration is above AUD 100,000 per year + superannuation
 •  Location of employment is Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to spearhead our sales function in Australia and the responsibilities will be:

 •  Actively promote Axon solutions products and services to prospects & customers via a range of channels.
 •  Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities.
 •  Follow up on leads generated from relationships, trade shows, webinars, executive luncheons, website, email or other sources.
 •  Identify appropriate prospect, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business across categories offered.
 •  Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
 •  Addressing and resolving customers’ complaints and enquiries.
 •  Handle entire sales and inside sales process from lead generation to presentation to proposal to close, with support from the presales team.
 •  Communicating and collaborating with cross function stakeholders in the form of promotion, design, marketing, sales, and logistics to ensure that key customers’ needs are met.
 •  Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of products and services, industry trends, and competition.
 •  Overseeing new and existing business projects.
 •  Maintain current and accurate account and contact information, as well as lead and opportunity status and activity.
 •  To meet or exceed sales targets on a quarterly basis.
 •  In charge of the sales strategy – development and execution – in Australia
 •  Build Axon’s reputation in the Australian market

Skills Required:

The requirements of the candidate are as follows:

 •  8+ years of experience working as a sales manager or business development manager
 •  Worked across multiple industries and companies of different sizes
 •  Comes from an engineering or technical background
 •  Track record of growing sales and delivering year on year growth
 •  High level understanding on supply chain and logistics
