We are looking for an APAC Payroll Specialist

Compensation: $109,000- $135,000 salary, employee equity plan grant & world class benefits

About the role

You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of employee pay in the APAC region, with a high degree of responsibility and independence. Your responsibilities will encompass payroll processing, compliance with relevant regulations and providing excellent employee support on their queries.

Responsibilities
 •  Payroll processing of the APAC region (Australia and Japan)
 •  Validation of payroll input against payroll register and coordination with payroll vendors for required adjustments/corrections.
 •  Coordinate with payroll vendors on timely payout to employees and statutory payments.
 •  Handle employee data and updates in our payroll system throughout the lifecycle of each employee
 •  Perform tasks associated with monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll reporting and taxation.
 •  Assist WGEA reporting and reporting required for employee share schemes
 •  Review of business expenses for compliance with Company policy and processing of reimbursements
 •  Serve as the main point of contact for employee pay-related questions
 •  Partner with the US Payroll team and Accounting and People Ops teams to ensure alignment on employee data
 •  Partner with the Stocks team on equity matters including exercises, terminations, etc.
 •  Partner with the R&D organization and the Accounting team on R&D capitalisation and supporting work for the calculation by third-party advisors of the R&D tax credit

Requirements

Requirements
 •  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
 •  3+ years of experience with payroll processing in the APAC region. Experience with Australia a must.
 •  Excellent knowledge of payroll and related statutory labor laws required for payroll-related calculations.
 •  Excellent quantitative and Excel skills
 •  Strong written and verbal communication skills
 •  Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
 •  Ability to work independently but also socialize issues as they arise
