Catering to discerning travellers seeking high-end accommodations, dining, and entertainment, 1 Hotel Melbourne is set to redefine luxury in Australia.

We are now hiring a Director of Revenue Management who will work closely with our Managing Director and support the guidance committee of the hotel to make sound commercial decisions. You will play a pivotal role in maximizing overall hotel revenue and profitability.

Working closely with the team, the successful candidate will drive market share through strategic evaluation and analysis of business, distribution channels, and rate/inventory management across all market segments. Key responsibilities include leading weekly revenue management meetings, presenting key statistics to senior leadership, and offering actionable insights and recommendations to drive performance.

Qualifications:

Some Key Essential Job Functions:

 •  Lead weekly revenue management meetings to develop and implement revenue strategies and forecasts.
 •  Compile and review data, reports, and market conditions to evaluate revenue management strategies.
 •  Analyze and forecast demand, optimize market mix, and utilize distribution channels effectively.
 •  Monitor distribution channels to ensure effective rate and inventory management and pricing strategies.
 •  Conduct displacement analyses to support revenue decisions.
 •  Maximize profitability by evaluating business with F&B revenue included and identifying demand generators.
 •  Stay informed about national and local economic trends to determine their impact on hotel revenues.
 •  Develop and maintain revenue models based on market growth forecasts.
 •  Produce comprehensive, accurate, and timely reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

 •  Previous experience as a Director of Revenue Management, ideally in a pre-opening environment.
 •  Strong knowledge of reservations, front office operations, sales, and catering.
 •  Proficiency in forecasting, yield management, and revenue management strategies.
 •  Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills.
 •  Ability to perform numerical analysis and formulate conclusions in a logical manner.
 •  Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with others to achieve desired results.
